Banner Green Efforts
We have always made our best efforts to recycle and reuse resources in the workplace. We use water based inks and we even recycle the paper used in our dyesub print process onto fabric; most banner and flag printing is done with solvent inks on vinyl.
Since 1989 we have made it a part of our business culture to recycle cans, glass, plastics, office paper, and computers. We have also made it a practice to donate over-runs and scrap fabric to non-profits, organizations, and schools for programs such as The Target Design Camp.
The Green Bag Story
This is not just a bag, it's a success story...
In 2006 the fiber manufacturer decided to discontinue making the fiber that
was used to weave the fabric we print our green bags on. The fiber is
made from 100% up-cycled soda/pop bottles. For more information check
out The Green Bag and Ecophab™ pages.
We begged them to keep making the fiber. We think it makes sense to repurpose recycled materials into a better product. After much pleading the manufacturer relented. We convinced them that the time has come for green products.
Today we print dozens of items for thousands of consumers using Ecophab™ made from EcoSpun material, the fabric woven from fiber made from the soda bottles. We print on Ecophab™ with water based inks because we just think people know a good thing when they see it.
