Art Specifications
Application Software:
- Adobe Illustrator (CS2 and earlier) - EPS or AI files.
- Adobe Photoshop (CS2 and earlier) - TIF files or PSD files if layered.
- PDF files (high resolution with fonts outlined or supplied).
NOTE: We currently do NOT accept InDesign or Quark files. However, they may be exported or saved as high resolution PDFs.
Digital Media
- We accept CDs, DVDs, or 100mb Zips.
- Smaller files (under 10mb) can be emailed to art@bannercreations.com or uploaded to our FTP site.
- Contact the Art Department for instructions, username, and password.
NOTE: When sending multiple files, please follow our naming convention of banner name and size, ex. BCI logo 3x5. Failure to do so may result in additional art charges.
File Requirements
- 1” MINIMUM of bleed built into the file at full size. Larger banners and certain fabrics may require more.
- Resolution - 100ppi at final size. A lower resolution image may have poor print quality. A higher resolution image does not increase quality of the print and can slow the production process and may result in additional art charges.
- Files MUST be submitted at 100%, 50%, or 25% of final size and scale proportionally.
- Fonts MUST be outlined, rasterized, or included with the files.
Format Specifics
- PDFs from InDesign or Quark MUST have the fonts included.
- All linked images MUST be included and layered for editing.
- Photoshop files MUST be layered for color correcting or matching. Please send both flat and layered files.
Color Matching Information
- We match to coated PMS colors or customer provided hard copies. If neither are provided, the customer must submit a waiver and the file will be printed as is.
Dye Sublimation or Ink jet
- We accept either raster or vector artwork.
- Fonts outlined, rasterized, or sent.
Screen print, Applique, or Vinyl
- We accept vector artwork only.
- Fonts outlined or sent.
Customer Approvals
- After the order is placed and the art is received, the customer will receive two layouts to sign off on before production can begin.
- Layout approval submitted via email.
- Color proof approval printed on the specific material chosen for the order.
